Topics include OSHA's Respiratory Standard, respirator use, training, fit-testing and detecting counterfeit respirators. The goal is to provide contractors, owners, design/build firms, engineers, and architects with information on how to recognize and anticipate construction hazards and how to eliminate them with well thought out design features. This short course has been developed by the OSHA Alliance Program's Construction Roundtable and the Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs and is intended to assist employers, workers, and others as they strive to improve workplace health and safety. A 15 minute video which highlights the four leading causes of fatalities on construction sites and stresses the responsibility for safety as a joint effort of government, management, and employees.
